Michaela Koudelková

Michaela Koudelková graduated with her recorder studies at the Musical Academy in Kraków (Poland), Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg (D) under the leadership of Peter Holtslag and at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (JAMU, CZ) where she has defined her PhD. 

Michaela has obtained many awards in national and international music competitions, eg: 1st prize and special prize of „Luigi Tufano“ for the best traverso player at XII Concorso Internazionale di Musica Antica „Maurizio Pratola“ in l´Aquila (2024, Italy), 1st prize at the Tel Aviv Recorder Competition in 2019 or finalists of Kaleidoscope Vocal Instrumental Competition in Santa Monica (USA, 2018) as one of only 6 finalists from 2 000 participants from 88 countries in the world.

As a soloist, chamber and orchestral player she cooperates with {oh!} Orkiestra, Collegium Marianum, Ensemble Silentium!, Musica Florea, Czech Ensemble Baroque, Wrocław Baroque Ensemble, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, La Tempesta, Musica Aeterna and Opera Diversa.

She has performed at many national and international musical festivals, such as Oude Muziek Festival Utrecht, Concentus Moraviae, Tel Aviv Recorder Festival, Janáčkův máj, Bach Chamber Music Festival in Riga, Haapsalu Early Music Festival, Musica Holešov, Dni Bachowskie, Novoměstské slunohraní, Bacha na Mozarta! or Jeunesse Musicales.

In 2025 Michaela recorded her first solo CD with sonatas by Händel and Corelli for the label Supraphon. This debut album has received positive reviews in prestigious magazines, such as Gramophone or The Arts Desk.
